I am a Chief Scout Award holder ( the highest scout award in Kenya) and a Messenger of Peace Hero awarded in 2019, Kuwait. I represent the Africa region in the SCENES coordination team.
I am passionate about environmental conservation and natural resource protection. I established a tree planting project in 2017 known as The Brown Olive Project where I donated Olea seedlings to the community and institutions as I created awareness about environment conservation, solid waste management, SDGs and best farming methods. The project aims to promote harmony between biodiversity and communities' livelihoods. The goal is to curb climate change and mitigate global warming by increasing the indigenous tree cover. The project is based on the SDG 13,14&15. With the help of my Scout crew, we’ve been able to reach more than 48 homesteads and 82 institutions where we have donated and planted 848 trees.
Our target is to reach more people and plant over 2000 trees by 2026. Just like a Hummingbird plays a great role in the ecosystem, I believe that my noble efforts to conserve the environment will bring big and positive impacts to the ecosystem and future generations. Being at KISC for the summer of 2024 feels like a dream come true. Meeting people from all over, making new friends, learning new roles and skills and waking up to the scenic and breathtaking views of the Alps feels extra amazing. Being a Pinkie is one of the great achievements in my scouting life.

"}]
