Activity overview

A full day of winter adventure and snowy excitement!

Hike the historic Gemmipass along snowy wanderwegs, while enjoying amazing views of the surrounding peaks until arriving at Gemmi. You will then hike and sledge your way back; a worthy reward for the hike!

Schedule 
08:30 Meet your guide in front of the chalet
08:45 Walk to Sunnbüel Cable car station
09:15 Arrive at top station
09:30 Start Hiking/Sledding
12:30 Picnic lunch at Berghotel Schwarenbach
13:00 Hike/Sled back to Sunnbüel Cable car station
15:30 Take the Cable Car down
15:45 Arrive at Cable car bottom station
16:00 Return to Centre and return sleds

This is only a guide. Times will change according to the weather and the group’s ability/behaviour.

Price includes: KISC guide, sled rental and cable car tickets

Guest cancellation:

  • Less than 7 days before the activity: fee of 50% of the price per person
  • Less than 48 hours in advance: non-refundable
Important information 
  • A leader or responsible person over 18 years old must be booked as part of the group
  • Helmets are compulsory and are available to rent through KISC (subject to availability of our partner)
  • This activity is available from end of December 2024 to end of February 2025 (If you you want to enquire for a particular day, please send an email to programme@kisc.ch)
  • Remember to plan this activity around any meals you have booked with us!
Transport 

Meet the guide at KISC and they will travel with you throughout the day until you return. Tickets for the cable car are included in the price of the activity.

Equipment 
  • Ski trousers and jacket, thermal underwear, warm clothes
  • UV/sun protection cream and lip protection (minimum factor 15+)
  • Sunglasses or ski goggles with good UV protection
  • Warm hat and gloves - preferably waterproof
  • Rucksack
  • Full water bottle - minimum 2 litres
  • Reusable lunch box with your packed lunch
  • Waterproof walking boots with ankle support
  • Helmet (compulsory for guided skiing, snowboarding or sledding, strongly recommended for unguided activities)
